Cheers for the comment Russ. Who knows when we'll have decent enough snow to snowboard in England again. Catch it whilst you can!

Dude, Lee and I drove to aviemore in scotland on saturday, 6 hours in the car 6 hours snowboarding and then 6 hours back to southport in lancashire, UK (it was the best snow conditions they have had in 5 years) and the riding was great, we got funicular train up the mountain and then boarded back down over and over it was wicked, but drive is a killer, we have never done it before i don't think we will do it again besides it cost £110 in petrol and i only drive a RAV4 ha ha

Poma button tow: Length 560m: Vertical rise 125m: Top Station: 725m: 600 people per hour or at least that is what it says on the 'Yad moss' web site, but yes it is a pulley thing would sum it up. We have just had a load of snow dumped on scotland and that is a 5+ hour drive for us, but with the cost of petrol in the UK it would be cheaper to fly to france ha ha (£4.59 per gallon thats about $9.00 per gallon on your money)

What is that pulley thing? The lift that wasn't working? Where are the chairs or t-bars or whatever?

that's cool that you only had to drive 2 hrs to go boarding though - Mammoth (my fav mountain, where they got 8 feet in the past 5 or so days) is a 5+ hour drive for us Angelenos. :-) Luckily we have some local mountains where they also have been getting dumped on! Even the old LA Times commented on it.
