Guys / Gals - training legs does not necessarily equate to what happens when you snowboard! You need some good negatives in there (eccentric training) and good old plyometrics.

Quick update...

>>1. Get fit for snowboarding
Have been cycling to work every day - about a 10 mile round trip - and hitting the gym about 3 times a week. So far so good.

>>2. Get as many trips planned and booked as possible
Booked flights and accommodation in Serre Chevalier for a week early Feb. Can't wait til that. More to follow.

Hi Erica, thanks for the comment and the expanded workout program! Quite jealous of your Whistler trip. Look forward to reading a trip report on your blog (which looks cool BTW).

Hello from Los Angeles! My resolution is to get as many trips in as possible, and have fun stories, pics, and people I meet to share on my own blog. ;-) You mentioned Whistler - I actually leave for a 5day trip next Wed!

Also re fitness for snowboarding... Just checked out and your post from last year about the snowboarding workout... good stuff! But IMO you need to get more squats in there - haha! Maybe some lunges too... and I'd recommend pushups and/or tricep dips also. GOOD advice about the calf raises though, very helpful on the toe side turns.
