Metallica cover of Iron Maiden’s Remember Tomorrow
Tuesday, 05. 19. 2009 – Category: Music
Heard this today and thought it was worth a post. Iron Maiden classic “Remember Tomorrow” covered by Metallica in 2008 I think.
A cracking cover, slightly reworked from the original. Early days Maiden signer Paul Dianno wrote the lyrics about “a friend” who loved a bit of LSD.
Unchain the colours before my eyes,
Yesterday’s sorrows, tomorrow’s white lies.
Scan the horizon, the clouds take me higher,
I shall return from out of fire.Tears for rememberance, and tears for joy,
Tears for somebody and this lonely boy.
Out in the madness, the all seeing eye,
Flickers above us, to light up the sky.Unchain the colours before my eyes,
Yesterday’s sorrows, tomorrow’s white lies.
Scan the horizon, the clouds take me higher,
I shall return from out of fire.

Will get back to posting a proper update sometime soon. There are snowboarding trips from the end of season to cover and some recent wakeboarding - highly recommended for snowboarders looking for some summer fun.
