Sad news of a British woman dying whilst heli-snowboarding on the Zermatt glacier.
The 33-year-old woman fell as she skied at high altitude down a glacier on the Swiss-Italian border.
Police in the Valais area said the woman fell 15 metres into the crevasse at 3,060 metres above sea level.

After much anticipation, planning and build up, 12 of us went for a long weekend in Cervinia this weekend gone.
Whilst we stayed in Cervinia, most of the snowboarding was to be had in Zermatt, which joins the Cervinia ski area on the Italian/Swiss boarder, so taking your passport out on the hill is a must!

Am off to Cervinia on Thursday night after work and plan on riding both sides of the Italian/Swiss border in Cervinia and Zermatt.
According to Snow-Forecast.com there is a load of snow on its way over the coming days. The only potential problem is the risk of lifts being closed due to strong winds.
