After much anticipation, planning and build up, 12 of us went for a long weekend in Cervinia this weekend gone.
Whilst we stayed in Cervinia, most of the snowboarding was to be had in Zermatt, which joins the Cervinia ski area on the Italian/Swiss boarder, so taking your passport out on the hill is a must!
In […]

I got a pair of Salomon Dialogue’s last season, and having just given them another outing thought I’d review them here.
Billed as a freestyle boot, the Dialogue’s also fair well free riding with a reasonably stiff flex. The lace system is Saloman’s PowerLace Pro, with a looped lace joined by a handle you […]

Am off to Cervinia on Thursday night after work and plan on riding both sides of the Italian/Swiss border in Cervinia and Zermatt.
According to Snow-Forecast.com there is a load of snow on its way over the coming days. The only potential problem is the risk of lifts being closed due to strong winds.
On the […]

Looking forward to some off-piste action this season? You’d do well to read the analysis report published by Pistehors.com into the the significant rise in avalanche related deaths in France in the 2005-06 season.

It is National Ski and Snowboard week here in the UK. Going with the super lame slogan: Give snow a go!
Well, its cheesey, but lets give them the benefit of the doubt. It looks like there’s a load of offers and freebies up for grabs, which is what this is all about […]

Burton held a party at South London’s Clapham Grand last night with a showing of their new movie “For Right or Wrong“. That’s my neck of the woods, so I went along.
The movie is more of a documentary style film than an out and out snowboard movie in the traditional sense.
It’s more or less […]

I’ve got a snowboarding weekend in Zermatt coming up in a couple of weeks. The season has barely started so I’ve been keeping a close watch on the snow forecasts and the web cams.
I thought I’d share these with you in case anyone else is heading over, and give me easy access to the […]

Nothing seems to cause more dispute amongst snowboarders than the dispute over Flow bindings.
Added comfort vs. lack of control
No strap pain vs. extra weight
Cool as you like vs. WTF is that?
I’m currently using straps, but have used Flow’s a fair few times and am pretty sure the route of the problem many people have is […]
