Altenmarkt and Zauchensee next week

Off to Altenmarkt a week on Friday for snowboarding in nearby Zauchensee and a few other reports. Looking forward to giveing my new f2 Sonic board and spx 44 bindings a run out. Not used them yet.
Will report back.

Chamonix

Just came back from a week snowboarding in Chamonix.

Salomon Transfer snowboard

Following my old snowboard going AWOL after falling off a bubble lift in Chamonix, I took out a Salomon Transfer 160 on hire for a few days.

Salomon W4 snowboard

A good all moutain board.
Stiff flex, great for holding long carved turns.
Wider than average, great for cruising on powder and keeping your heels and toes on the board and not jabbing into the piste causing more face-plants than strictly necessary.
